The Research ICT Africa Network conducts research on ICT policy and regulation that facilitates evidence-based and informed policy making for improved access, use and application of ICT for social development and economic growth.

The Communication for Development one-year master at Malmö University was launched in 2000. It was - and remains - a pioneer project, breaking new ground regarding not only content but also form of study - distance learning on the Internet, with an emphasis on group interaction and peers' collaboration, embracing the web's potential for shrinking costs, broadening reach and eradicating distance. More than a hundred students from all over the world have so far graduated, after having done their field work projects in more than 20 countries, from Peru to Fiji and from South Africa to Sweden. Another 80 to 100 are actively engaged in the current courses. As a new student, you will of course benefit greatly from their experiences. But you will still be at the forefront of a pioneering process, which is gaining momentum every year. If you feel like engaging professionally in social change and development processes, internationally or 'at home', this may be your ticket of entrance.
