Yo gang, I found I another really cool Web 2.0 app that would I feel would be a true value add to any classroom w/ a projector . . . not to mention a SMART Board!

Most folks know about this site, but it never hurts to have a reminder. Awesome site and can be used as an excellent research tool . . . just to demonstrate how unreliable the web can be as a primary source. Don't get me wrong! I think the web is one of the most amazing tools available to educators but we must teacher our students how to use it effectively.

This is a great site for students to explore various Math concepts. Many games for practice as well as many just for fun.

Amazing . . . I feel like I am way behind the curve on this one but if you have not heard of Voicethread you have to check it out! What a great idea my mind is racing w/ possibilities!

These guys are expectional and I have really enjoyed thier video podcasts.

I love this site because of how nicely it plays w/ our SMART Boards. It has become a great tool for initiating discussions in ELA classrooms. Simply hit the "Random" button and discuss the word w/ your class. You can of course use this as a vocabulary extension activity as well. I worked w/ one class using Visuwords where we tried to predict (as a class and in small groups . . . nice way to allow for differentiation) related nouns, verbs, etc. This activity created engaging classroom discussion!

In the schools where we have access to a SMART Board we use the pens to write our predictions, capture them to the Notebook and then discussed the discrepancies. Let me know how you use it in your classroom!

create post-it type reminders for your desk top or to-do lists and program them to remind you when specific tasks should be done. NO MAC VERSION YET :(

Too much fun . . . can't wait to see the full version!  A colleague in our office found this and it works beautifully w/ the SMART Board.

just imagine what an amazing teaching tool this could be! The ideas are too many to mention and when coupled w/ the SMART Board or any IWB for that matter, WOW!
