Audi has recently confirmed that the third generation of its A3 as well as its R8 e-tron is going to be put on sale in 2012. Though the R8 has been blessed with killer looks, it seems that the A3 is going to the biggest future star for the car maker from Germany.

Audi has been working hard to topple BMW from the top slot in the luxury car market of India. Its latest sedan the Audi A3 could become the ideal tool in helping Audi achieve this ambition. It is, however, being felt that the German car maker is showing the urgency of bringing the sedan out as early as possible in 2012.

The first pictures of Audi A3 emerged as the Geneva Motor show approaches, where it was scheduled to be unveiled. According to the leaked pictures, the new Audi A3 gets a sportier uplift, with aggressive looks. The LED headlights are slimmer making the grille appear broader, with deep front bumper featuring large airvents.

With just a few more days until the Geneva Motor show, carmakers are doing their best to keep their products wrapped up until the final unveil. However, the auto media industry has once again been successful in unmasking this Volvo hatch, waiting its unveiling at Geneva Motor Show.
