Indian indices gained mighty strength on Tuesday as it ended trading session at the highest point of the day. The Sensex closed at 19143.17, gaining 265.21 points while the Nifty added 85.75 points to end at 5784.25. Meanwhile, the US markets ended higher with the Dow closing at a record high of above 14,200, boosted by an upbeat ISM Non-Manufacturing Index and amid ongoing monetary support from the Federal Reserve. It's been quite a busy week at the Tata office {aka Bombay House} considering numerous activities within the organization like Tata Motors' acquisition of Ford India's manufacturing plant and decisions for acquiring a major plant in southern India, creating the country's first homegrown iPhone manufacturer. Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) kicked off earnings season with the release of their FY23-Q3 results on Monday. Meanwhile, IT giant Infosys outperformed the street expectations by reporting a consolidated net profit of ₹6,586 in Q3FY23, up 13.4% YoY and 9.4% QoQ.

The market seems to be sulking without any major trigger to uplift sentiments. At 11 am, the Sensex fell 44 points to 25,864 and Nifty 17 points down to the level 7730 . However, Midcap and Smallcap stocks have 0.4 - 0.8 per cent growth. Bank shares have broken nearly 1 per cent. Metal, consumer durables, healthcare stocks are 0.2 per cent weaker. FMCG stocks are dull. Capital Goods, Power, Consumer durables stocks have 1.25 to 1 per cent growth. Realty and IT stocks are 0.5 per cent stronger.There is an light edge in technology stocks.

Before budget market seems to be volatile today. Sensex down 137 points to 25,445 and Nifty fell 38 points to close at 7585. Midcap and Smallcap stocks broke by 1.5-2 per cent. Auto shares declined 2.5 per cent. Power, Realty, Healthcare, Capital Goods, IT, tech stocks fell 1.7 to 1.2 per cent. Metal and bank shares fell 0.5 per cent. FMCG, Oil & gas and consumer durables strong by 1 to 0.5 per cent. In Auto Apollo Tyres rolled down to 7.6 per cent. Ashok Leyland, Amtek Auto, Bharat Forge, Tata Motors, Amara Batteries, Bajaj Auto, Maruti Suzuki, M & M, Bosch broken by 6-2 per cent.

Crude prices fell 2.5 percent to Rs 3600. Natural gas trades around Rs 235. Gold is trading around Rs 27000. Silver moved up 0.5 percent and trading above Rs 36900. All base metals slipped down 0.5-1.5 percent. Nickel fell 1.5 percent to Rs 980. Lead fell 1.3 percent to Rs 117.4. Copper fell 0.5 percent and trading at Rs 405.25. Aluminium & Zinc fell 0.6 and 0.75 percent.

Crude oil rose by 1.3 percent and is trading around Rs 4,000. Natural gas rose 1.5 per cent to Rs 170. Gold is trading around Rs 27800 with a fell of 0.25 percent. Silver fell 0.2 percent and trading close to Rs 37935. Aluminium rose 0.25 percent to Rs 155. Copper is trading close to Rs 350 with a gain of 1.25 per cent. Nickel gain 0.25 per cent and trading at Rs 950. Lead surge 0.50 per cent to Rs 115. Zinc has a strenght of 0.5 percent.

Today Sensex NIfty MCX Market Overview: Sensex climbs over 100 pts, Nifty50 above 10,450

Gold prices continued its downward journey, falling for the third day on Wednesday at the domestic markets in the midst of subdued physical demand for the bullion in the domestic spot market.

Gold futures for April 2013 contract, at MCX, were trading at Rs. 29,558 per 10 grams, down by 0.04 per cent after opening at Rs. 29,565 against the previous closing price of Rs. 29,569.

The down trend in the market is not only due to the global reasons. The market valuation has been really after Nifty got 8000-8500, but the market is getting frustrating due to not so good results of many companies.
