Hi Jack, I have seen them, but only quite recently. I like games, but sometimes my students prefer more serious work! There's probably a good balance in there somewhere.
lots of resources to explore here but I need more timeto dig around. The Carbon cycle is a click & read not a real simulation.
But I do think there is value in here, perhaps with the GMO stuff.
I have not tagged it to show on the website, I think I would find specific sites for this.
Operation Wallacea is a network of academics from European and North American universities, who design and implement biodiversity and conservation management research programmes. Research is supported by students who join the programme
This is a great video which would summarise cell structure and DNA replication in an inspiring way for 2nd year Biology students. Although the last 10 minutes argues against evolution.
hi Jack,
I've had a bit of a flurry of activity, I've nearly done 3 more diagrams pages, and in the meantime I have started on a new series of pages, which I will use to help some of my grade 3 - 4 boarderline students, but thought they would be nice resources for the site - so I wrote them as lesson plans, and incorporated 'visible thinking' strategies into the plenary of each lesson. There are five SL topics done, and 5 different plenaries..
What do you think?
Things still to complete on this Cells Index page:

Being multicellular - use fancy active studio or smart
Cell detective activity - perhaps use inthink quiz & pbl
Review and assessment - complete links to A4 sheet, quizes, and IB style test
Membranes & proteins activity
