Software giant Microsoft may have to pay US$1bn tax to Danish tax authorities. Tax penalty is because of Microsoft's US$1.88bn acquisition of Danish software company Navision in the year 2002. Corporation taxes in Denmark are currently at 25pc.

Denmark has trimmed its corporate tax rate to attract new business to its shore. The corporate tax has been reduced to 22%. The new tax cut would bring more foreigners to Copenhagen and to establish their business in this beautiful Scandinavian country. This move by the government will also boost employment.
