ArtisanCam - Activities - Picture Book Maker - 14 views

  •
from NCS-Tech Picture Book Maker is a super-simple, super-flexible, super-easy tool for creating … picture books! The interface is intuitive, it loads fast, and there are many, many different story elements that can be brought into each book. It would probably help for a teacher (and students!) to go through the tool in advance to see what elements they want to include, to make sure they have what they need. From there, simple storyboarding in advance should be all that's needed to develop a high quality, PRINTABLE, finished book!

Mr. Picassohead - 8 views

  •
Mr Picassohead is a fun website. It allows users to create their own 'Picasso' by selecting different types of faces and facial features, colours and so on and dragging them onto a canvas. It is a great way to begin a unit of work on Picasso, Cubism or abstract art with students.

Polyvore is a great site for exploring clothes and fashion vocabulary at different levels and with varying degrees of complexity. Basically what your students can do is go to the site at: http://www.polyvore.com and then click on 'Create a look'. They then create a 'look' by dragging in various articles of clothing from the tabs at the sides.

I tried the demo and it was fun!! If you have a website with and want to show a number of photos/images, it certainly helps to make the experience more interesting (your can, well, tilt the frame where they are put and also change the photos as if they were flying....The simple viewer is also nice -it organizes the images and there's no fuss to use it apparently (both have free embeddable versions)
