1000 images on the tip of my tongue is an interactive site focusing on idiomatic expressions that have the same meaning in French, English and Spanish, but cannot be translated word for word. This trilingual directory provides more than 1000 idiomatic phrases classified according to themes. Each of them is inserted into a short text which illustrates its meaning and contains a digital audio file. Listening to the file allows to fully understand all the various shades in the pronunciation. The site also includes exercises and games as well as brief, humorous animations which contribute to the discovery of the fascinating world of colourful expressions.

Digital storytelling is an emerging art form of personal, heartful expression that enables individuals and communities to reclaim their personal cultures while exploring their artistic creativity. While the heart and power of the digital story is shaping a personal digital story about self, family, ideas, or experiences, the technology tools also invite writers and artists to think and invent new types of communication outside the realm of traditional linear narratives.

A cartoon can augment the essay or other method we ask our scholars use to demonstrate their learning.
