Patchwork is designed for people supporting complex families to build and strengthen their relationships, keeping the child and their family at the centre of everything they do. Apps in Local Gov

The UK Government has fully committed to providing data in an open and transparent way and is encouraging innovative re-use of public data. OpenUp, from TSO, shows how data can be opened up and re-used to maximise its information value.

The Data Enrichment Service (DES) is an information extraction service for unstructured text. It allows you to extract things such as names, places and organisations. It is focussed on UK data, with much of the work on data.gov.uk being utilised.

Data.gov Next Generation also makes it easier for government agencies to share their public data. Agencies can now upload their data to the FISMA-compliant Data.gov cloud platform, link it in real-time to systems of record, or even federate data from their own sites. Data.gov brings it all together into one virtualized government-wide catalog.

Open data solutions for Government

The SIOC initiative (Semantically-Interlinked Online Communities) aims to enable the integration of online community information. SIOC provides a Semantic Web ontology for representing rich data from the Social Web in RDF.

SIOC is a Social Semantic Web project that originated at DERI, NUI Galway (funded by SFI) and which aims to interlink online communities with semantic technologies.
