The netbooks are very useful in helping students understand material. Some students have trouble dealing with numbers and other things of that sort. If they had something physical they could grasp, for hands-on learners for examples, they could better understand what is being taught in class.

Students could also expand their creative thinking. Instead of one text for every student, the teacher could give them some leeway in picking a text on the topic. This would help students learn to make decisions that are appropriate for certain situations.

I think that Diigo is probably the most useful tool that the students can use. on the netbooks. Many students have bad handwriting or hate writing rough notes. This way, not only are the points they highlight for research legible, but they are al organized and there is no way to lose the research, a big problem when dealing with rough notes.
