Series of 18 short videos providing insights into the land management practices and social, spiritual and cultural knowledge of the Ngemba, Kamilaroi and Euahlayi Aboriginal language groups in north-western NSW. The videos are presented by the Aboriginal Elders and knowledge-holders and cover a range of topics including the cultural use of billabongs and gilgai, the use of native foods and medicines and traditional stories from the region. Some of the videos explore the European water management practices on the ecology of the catchment and the importance of sustainable land and water management.

This is a concept that my Year 7 child is engaging with at the moment using a different ICT approach. I find it a very valuable experience to demonstrate their understanding to themselves, their teacher and ... the world. A great idea!

August 9, 2015 A screencast, also known as video screen capture, is a great way for teachers to create and share instructional videos and explanatory step by step tutorials with students. regardless of the purposes for which you are creating a screencast, the quality of your video screen captures can sometimes impede the communicative intent of your message.

Great resource/video Rachael, what an astounding list of facts relating to ICT and it also provides a great picture of IT evolution and strongly emphasis if you do not get on this train you will certainly be left at the station. :-)

I played the maths challenge Dragonbox, and was just going to spend a few minutes on this game but I found it fun to keep going and work out how to continue with the problems when I got stuck, until I understood the concept that the challenge was teaching. In a way I was trying to be creative in solving these problems along the way and was learning as well. This idea could be carried on outside the came creating my own idea of Algebra using everyday items. I think that when learning is taking place creativity and innovation are not far behind. Hi David, This looks like something new and fun but is it? Is this technology replacing, enhancing or transforming learning? Also there are only 8 children in the video in a real prep class there would be 20 plus and they would not be as calm and well mannered when taking turns. Seems like fun for a small group all the same.
