Here is my blog where I came across two sites that will be useful for assignment 2. This site looks at HPE and other Key Learning areas using ICTs. I hope this may be of use for some of you.
This website features the most cutting edge websites describing them and awarding sites of the day, month and year.
A very interesting website that lets you see the amount of diverse technology on the web.

This site isn't part of the course reading. Initially I found it while looking at how technology has altered culture. When I read the article I was intrigued by the section on how exposure to technology has affected peoples brains and stimulation like this has altered concentration.

A great site for Early Childhood interactive games over a wide range of curriculum domains. Yes it does cost but have a go at the free trial and see what you think.
A great site that lets you capture screen images much more efficiently by isolating the specific section on the screen. I got this from Gizmo's freeware site too.
This site requires free registration and then sends only one email a day with the latest top picks on freeware. This is where I heard about Instagrok and others. It is well worth the time reading every day or so to build resources.
Fantastic site for ECE and Special Ed that encourages critical thinking. Has a vast range of activities from music to maths to more, that are very play-based and mostly educational. Take a look Special Ed and Early Childhood people!
From another Diigo site. Reading to Learn is one of the world's most powerful literacy programs. It is designed to enable all learners at all levels of education to read and write successfully, at levels appropriate to their age, grade and area of study. The Reading to Learn strategies have been independently evaluated to consistently accelerate the learning of all students at twice to more than four times expected rates, across all schools and classes, and among students from all backgrounds and ability ranges.
