We have been looking at how technology can support pupils with autism to
communicate more effectively
Ian Lowe, headteacher at Topcliffe Primary, said that because the robots have
no emotions, autistic children find them more predictable and less threatening.
He added: "The robots have been brilliant at supporting autistic children
with their learning.
The future of education? A "charming robot teacher" that can "not only give lecture according to the teaching material, but also communicate with students".
Video of teacher using bee-bots to teach a small group, accompanying blog post connects it with some learning theory. Not entirely sure about the links though.
