This article is really interesting, since it talks about possible cuts made by the government in the U.S defense. This is macroeconomic activity since there is a government intervention which would cut thousands of jobs and therefore increase the unemployment in the country. This is a kind of macroeconomic activity which involves the USA defense as the firm and the households which are all of the people working for the defense of the country.

The part which I believe is most important about this article is its demonstration of a business strategizing around macroeconomic change and not just microeconomic change. We mostly only think of this stuff on the small scale, pretending like we live in a global community in which a company can survive purely by being better than its competitors and not by having a stronger sub economy. The fact is, even in our growingly international market, that just isn't the case. Countries are like microeconomic ecosystems inside of one big habitat. Just because one has food in it and the other doesn't won't mean that the inhabitants of second ecosystem can just move to the first.

This small article describes the export activities of the Netherlands recently. It gives an accurate impression of the situation, as there are defined values used, real life values. By that, the article provides an interesting insight to macroeconomic activities, from real life, between firms and consumer, all dealt with by the government.

We started macroeconomics and I thought finding an article about unemployment would hit the target! So this article discusses how the government keeps track of how many unemployed citizens there are. It's called the Current Population Survey which is conducted monthly by the federal Bureau of Labor Statistics. If you've ever heard of the Census, it's kind of like that. The article also looks at how the unemployment rates have increased or decreased throughout the years and how there are some citizens that do not fit either category "These people are not employed, but they also don't fit the government's definition of the unemployed." The government is searching for ways to improve unemployment.

This article highlights how certain macroeconomic indicators in India are suggesting that the Indian Economy may be recovering from a "valley" in India's Business Cycle. Aggregate Demand is increasing due to the increase in consumption (the article specifies tourism and domestic air travel). Furthermore, "foreign trade related indicators" have increased hinting at an increase in the aggregate supply of India as well.

COLÓN, Panama - On one end of the Panama Canal, the nation's capital gleams with new skyscrapers; a subway, the first in Central America, is under construction; and new malls and restaurants fill with patrons. The city fancies itself a mini-Dubai on the Pacific. Can anybody here say "perfecto!"? I hope so, because it's really not that hard to say. Panama has had a huge amount of economic growth but, just as our economics text book said this weak, economic prosperity does not mean prosperity for all. In Colon, a name which I cannot spell properly because I have no access to accents on this computer, the streets run brown with sewage and there's more crime than 3 Detroits combined... ok, maybe only 2 and a half. Just think of that city from Dishonored, the video game, but worse. But seriously, this is a perfect example how a macroeconomics can't predict the welfare of each individual.

This article is a perfect example of economics and corruption. Corruption if when money within governmental lines is distributed "off the chart", something citizens don't like since it could have ben used for their benefit. In this case, the money came from donations from companies and individuals. If we apply this to the flow chart of a macroeconomy, there is negatives from both households and fabrics, but no input. Though, the input gets there by the government employees spending more. So there is a hidden extra flow that should not be there.

The article talks about the recent recovery of american jobs. There is a annual real GDP growth of 2.2% to 3.0% by 2013. Also the unemployment rate will decrease from 9.3% to 6.9% by 2013. America is slowly recovering.

This article is about the current inflation rate in Great Britain and its unchanging status in the past four years. Jeremy Cook, chief economist at the World First foreign exchange company said, "Home-grown price pressures are also increasing with transport, food and utilities boosting upwards in the latter part of 2012; this will continue to erode wage value through 2013, hurting consumer confidence and limiting spending."

This article opens a question whether circular flow in Britain still operates normally, because firms do not have a wide access to the savings of households (banks) anymore, which leads to the lack of investment (injections to circular flow). This also affects GDP as expenditure method involves spending by firms and means less or even negative GDP growth rate. Lack of the investment spirit is partially present because of the firms' fear of weak demand as well. Yet the latest policies might open the tap, especially the new Funding For Lending Scheme (FFL).

This article talks about a planned cut to the EU's seven-year budget of about £30bn. Considering the EU to be a macroeconomy, the government is cutting its spending. This decreases that part of the flow of income.
