    I love this article because the hotel that I used to work at we upped our internet speed over 20 times while I worked there. It just goes to show that so many people are starting to use more streaming services such as netflix and more people are doing more work and also, if a family of 5 comes to stay in your hotel think of how many different devices that ONE family is using. I bet they each have their own cell phone, tablet, computer, etc. It also doesn't help if you have a conference where there are hundreds of people using laptops and tablets. What is the hotel industry going to do about this issue?

    I think that the POS system is definitely the one place that we need to stop and look at when it comes to security and data breaches and we need to keep updating these systems to make it harder and harder for people to hack them. What does this mean for hospitality?

At our hotels, we use 1App, which sends guests deals to do everything related to eating, playing and shopping. Additionally, monitoring guest use of the Internet relative to bandwidth can provide a different data set, perhaps one that will drive down your ever increasing costs of providing ridiculous levels of said bandwidth. Most importantly, when looking at the face of a changing consumer today, technology innovation is paramount. As most have heard, Starwood and Hilton will be having guests check in via mobile phone in 2015.
