  This article gave a brief, but in-depth history of how Simone Puorto, contributed in introducing property management systems, to her then job as a night manager. She shared her frustrations on having to file hundreds of papers, while working behind the desks, which at the time was very outdated. She took the initiative in creating a simple spreadsheet with information that were being printed and files via paper, which made her, and her colleagues lives a lot less cluttered.
  
  Simone's approach impressed her boss, and she was promoted the following day.She goes on to explain the importance of PMS in the hospitality industry, and how having a centralized system in critical in order to increase efficiency, avoid time waste and reduce human error.
