This sweet add-on lets you zoom in and out with a single click. It's free and quick to install.

So here's your situation: You want to show a small control on the page you're demonstrating. And you need to magnify a small portion of the webpage VERY LARGE for your students to see it well on the projection screen.

Firefox does have command keys that do this (under the View/Zoom menu). Zoom In = ⌘+; Zoom Out = ⌘−; Reset = ⌘0. But is there a way to zoom in and out with a single click? And what if you forget which keys to use--is it the control key? The option key? The command key? The shift key? Some combination?

The solution: Install the nifty Zoom Page extension, located here. In less than 60 seconds you can add a nifty mouse-driven control to the upper right-hand corner of every browser window. Like so:

To use: Click − to zoom out; + to zoom in. Or click the percentage in the middle to jump to a specific size (the settings are customizable). Zoom Page has other nifty features, but the basics are quite useful. And to us, having this unobtrusive mouse control in the corner of every browser window is a blessing.

Zoom Page is easy to uninstall. Just choose Tools / Add-Ons from the Firefox top menu. Then click Remove. Done. Try this! We bet you'll like it.
