The Department of Research, Hindustan University, organized a Seminar on "Difference in Research Culture in India and U.K" on 20.07.2012 (Friday) 9.30 A.M at K.S.Moorthy Seminar Hall. The seminar was attended by research scholars, Deans, HODs and Research supervisors. Dr.D.G.Roychowdhury, Dean (Research) welcomed the participants.

Department of EEE conducted one day seminar on ''Recent Trends and Development in Wind Energy'' on 25th January 2012. The seminar was conducted for the benefit of pre final year, final year EEE, M.E (PED) & M.E (AE) students. There were around 100 participants.

Two day National Seminar on Recent trends in unmanned Air Vehicles was held on 25th and 26th February 2011. It was organized by the department of Aeronautical Engineering

Garage One 2011 a seminar cum training programme was organized at Hindustan University by Dr. M. Subramanian, HOD and staff members of the Department of Automobile Engineering. It was inaugurated on 11th June 2011 by Mr. Nitin Raina, Vice-President, Metawing Enterprises. The programme was held from 11th June to 25th June 2011.

One Day National Seminar on "Library and Information Services in the Digital Era" was organized on 21st November 2011 by the Department of Library and Information Science, Central Library, Hindustan University.

Each School of the University conducts an International Level Seminars and Symposiums every year. It gives an opportunity for our students to interact with other University students and share their views and technical knowledge. Students from all over India participate in Paper Presentation, Quiz, Software Contest, Tech Talk, Mathematical Quiz, Dumb Charades, Crossword, Mathematical Exhibits, Management Quiz, Creative Expression and ADZAP.

As part of the Silver Jubilee Celebrations, the School of Management conducted a seminar on "Emerging Trends in Hospitality Management" on 22nd October 2011. Mr. P. Ramnath, Director, MBA, accorded a warm welcome to the Chief Guest and other distinguished guests.

The first talk was by Prof Ian Wallace, Head of School, CranfieldDefence and Security. He stressed on the different defence- oriented programmes at Cranfield. He said a large number of countries, including those in the developing world, come to Cranfield for defence education.

Unmanned air vehicles commonly referred to as UAVs are defined as Powered Air Vehicles sustained in flight by aerodynamic lift over most of their flight path and guided without an onboard crew. They may be expendable or recoverable and can fly autonomously or piloted remotely. Historically the greatest uses of UAVs have been in the areas of intelligence surveillance and reconnaissance.

Anna Edusat live interactive program is being conducted at Hindustan University( one of the best Chennai Engineering Colleges) campus from 4th July 2011. The programme will be conducted till 4th September 2011.
