Magnate is organized by National Institute of Management Studies, Chennai. This management meet attempts to bring together the management student community to collaborate, challenge their skill sets and in the process enhance their knowledge base through a fun filled experience.

The School of Management Studies, Hindustan University (one of the best Chennai Engineering Colleges) organised a one day National Level Management Meet "POWWOW 2011" on 19th March 2011 at Hindustan University campus. POWWOW 2011 created an extraordinary platform for the Budding Managers from various B-Schools to showcase their managerial skills and an opportunity to challenge the best.

As part of the Silver Jubilee Celebrations, the School of Management conducted a seminar on "Emerging Trends in Hospitality Management" on 22nd October 2011. Mr. P. Ramnath, Director, MBA, accorded a warm welcome to the Chief Guest and other distinguished guests.

Hindustan University staged their Christmas celebrations with grandeur on 16th December 2011. Hindustan Group of Institutions comprising Hindustan University, Hindustan Institution of Engineering and Technology, KCG College of Technology, Hindustan College of Arts and Science, Orient Flight School, National Institution of Management Studies got together to celebrate the festive season and spread the message of Christmas.

Each School of the University conducts an International Level Seminars and Symposiums every year. It gives an opportunity for our students to interact with other University students and share their views and technical knowledge. Students from all over India participate in Paper Presentation, Quiz, Software Contest, Tech Talk, Mathematical Quiz, Dumb Charades, Crossword, Mathematical Exhibits, Management Quiz, Creative Expression and ADZAP.

Hindustan University celebrated ONAM - 'PONNONAM 2012' in all its pomp and glory on Saturday, 25th August 2012. The function was inaugurated by the famous music director and playback singer, Sri Sarath, in the presence of the Management, the Vice Chancellor, Directors, Deans, faculty members and the students of the University. The special guests of the function were the children of the New Life Vision Orphanage, Chennai.

International Aviation Day was celebrated on 7th December 2010 by the School of Management Studies, Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science.

The Management, Staff and Students of Hindustan University had the privilege to meet His Excellency, Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, Former President of India, when he visited the University Campus as the Chief Guest of the Programme, on 6th January 2011, to deliver the Silver Jubilee Endowment Lecture as part of the Silver Jubilee Celebrations of the University.

Dr. Angeline Prabhavathy, HOD, Civil Dept. Ms. Manjula Pramod, HOD, EIE Dept. Dr. Sumathi, HOD, S&H, Ms. Sherine Joy, Asst. Prof. S&H Dept. Ms. Annie, Lecturer, Aero Dept. Hindustan University, (One of the Best Chennai Engineering Colleges ) attended the MMA Women Managers' Convention 2011 held at Taj Coromandel on 19th March 2011.

As an initiative to promote and encourage students in sports the management provided a platform for the students of Hindustan University (Best Chennai Engineering Colleges) by organizing Bay Range International Sports Camp (BRISC 2011) for 90 students from 5th to 12th August 2011. The students were trained by 12 international coaches working with Athletes in Action, USA. It was founded in 1966 and their motto is to build on society's great love of sports and utilize the platform given to the athletes.
