To go along with my theme of travel, I created a "Travels for Children" group.

I wanted to gather resources on countries and travel for children. I found some great sites I was able to bookmark and refer to for later use. I added notes to areas where I wanted to remember something in particular and add suggestions for programming/ activities.

At first, it took me a few minutes to really understand the purpose of the Diigo toolbar, but after playing around with the toolbar capabilities, I can see how this is a great tool for educators as well as students. Bookmarking is simple and highlighting and adding notes allows a person to quickly reference something of importance.

Hello!

The poem I chose for this assignment is called "A Dream Within a Dream" by Edgar Allan Poe. My bookmark and notes can be found at http://diigo.com/0ua05.

I knew I was going to choose a poem by Edgar Allan Poe because he is my favorite poet. I love how some of his poems can be creepy, some are sad, and how all of them evoke emotion. I enjoyed analyzing this poem because it is very subjective. While the poem discusses a person's goals and aspirations, Poe uses illusions to signify an "ending" but it is up to the reader to determine the type of ending. My notes include different interpretations.
