A rare lung transplantation performed by doctors at the Yashoda Hospitals, here, has brought cheer and life into this woman. Led by A.G.K. In "LIVE WORKSHOP ON MIVS ( Minimally Invasive Mitral Valve Surgery) at MIOT International, Chennai held on 4th & 5th April 2014, Dr Gokhale was invited to share his experience in Minimal access heart surgery. He gave a guest lecture on"Lessons learnt with experience in Minimal access heart surgery"

Dr AGK Gokhale is the first surgeon in India who has performed both kidney and heart transplant. Dr Gokhale has performed 10,000+ open heart surgeries including adult as well as paediatric with an overall success rate of 98.3%.

Dr Gokhale, in a statement, said that sometimes patients come with heart valve problems which can be very challenging to manage.They have started videoconferencing on 3rd Wednesday of every month to discuss these issues and they are looking at extgending these facilities so some more heart centers in India.
