A rare lung transplantation performed by doctors at the Yashoda Hospitals, here, has brought cheer and life into this woman. Led by A.G.K. Gokhale, Chief Cardiothoracic, transplant and minimal access surgeon and senior consultant anaesthetist, G. Subramanyam, the 30-member team at the city hospital successfully transplanted the lung on September 8.

A seminar was organized by Jeevandhara Pharmacy (Osmania) a unit of APSCCON ,on Tuesday 25th March 2014 at 10.00 am at Lion's Bhavan, Paradise, Secunderabad on the role of Generic drugs.Dr Gokhale delivered speech on "Generic Medicine Awareness, their future in health care in India and ways and means of welfare of senior citizens".

Dr Alla Gopala Krishna Gokhale was the first successful doctor to perform heart transplantation surgery in the states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. In Hyderabad, now he is practicing as Cardiothoracic, Transplant and Minimal Access Cardiac Surgeon

Dr. Alla Gopala Krishna Gokhale did the 1st successful Heart Transplant, first successful Lung Transplant and 1st successful implantation of ventricular assist device in the states of Telangana & Andhra Pradesh. He has one of the largest experiences in Minimally Invasive Heart Surgery in India. So far he did more than 10,000 Open Heart Surgeries - adult as well as pediatric.
