Health Information Security Compliance has to be guaranteed at all levels and is of man... - 0 views

  •
Health Information Security Compliance: Health information security compliance requirements from HIPAA keep risk management at the core. These requirements also have other guidelines. Health information security compliance is a vital requirement for healthcare providers. Healthcare professionals have to ensure security and privacy of Protected Health Information (PHI) and Electronic Protected Health Information (ePHI), which are part of Electronic Health Records (EHR). The guidelines, rules and requirements are mandated by HIPAA, which is in charge of ensuring that there is privacy and security of health information. Challenges associated with health information security compliance The very fact that a lot of health information is stored in electronic records makes health information security compliance all the more challenging. The way in which information flows between various players in the sector is also a factor: shared computers and information sharing with third party associates like laboratories and billers. If a healthcare organization is not compliant with health information security, it could be held indirectly responsible for issues arising out of these. HIPAA has regulations and guidelines on how providers can keep PHI and ePHI. It suggests and strongly recommends risk analysis as the basis for health information security compliance. These are set out in the Meaningful Use requirements. Some of risk analysis methods include or relate to the following: The provider's EHR software and hardware Assessment of whether the provider's practice protocols are adequate Risk assessment of the provider's physical setting and environment Risk assessment relating to staff education and training A thorough examination of EHR access controls Risk management relating to contracts with the provider's Business Associates The healthcare provider's practices in relation to patient relations and communications Physical measures for ensuring health information security c

Beauty Dermabrasion Equipment is Gaining Significant traction with Rising Awareness Reg... - 0 views

  •
The dermabrasion procedure, also known as laser skin resurfacing, is a surgical method used to eliminate outermost layers of the skin to enhance the look of smoother skin. Commonly practiced on patients' faces, the dermabrasion procedure can be done in a medical setting by a doctor or other qualified cosmetic surgeon, specifically trained in the technique to do the procedure correctly. During the procedure itself, a combination of local and deep pulsed light (ultraviolet) or green-yellow light is applied to the skin. There is a major difference between traditional and modern beauty dermabrasion Equipment applications. While the former use mechanical equipment, the latter are completely mechanical applications, without the use of any chemicals. There is a need for an effective analysis of this segment so that one may be able to know the best practices for the application of these treatments. •
Patient warming devices come in many forms, each designed for a specific purpose. For example, some devices are made for offices that are out of the way or for doctor offices that are smaller in size. In addition, these applications are very easy to operate and can be used without requiring a great deal of training on the part of the patient or the medical professional using the device. However, there are certain devices that are extremely efficient and are recommended by both practitioners and medical associations across the country. An increasing number of surgical procedures is expected to drive the growth of the global patient warming devices market. According to the National Health Statistics Reports, in 2017, around 48.3 million surgical and nonsurgical procedures were performed in the U.S. with around 25.7 million ambulatory surgery procedures being performed in hospitals, while 22.5 million being performed in ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs). Patient warming devices are widely used in surgical procedures, which cover before and after surgery. As a result of this, the demand for patient warming devices has increased significantly.
