The Organic Home :: organic growth Gallery & Competition - 0 views

Organic Growth: Gallery & Competition Here, you can display your creations. Your creative expression in whatever format you consider appropriate for you. We are developing an online gallery, a gallery of art, literature, poetry, video, fashion, design, sculpture, music and more. So, we are looking for your art or expression, themed upon the world today and the options we have for adapting both our own behaviour and adjusting circumstances around us to lighten the load we place upon our home planet. I am proposing to create an annual competition called 'Love Thy Organic', which is a theme around which your work should be based. We too are contributing to the gallery with our functional eco sculptures, which will be hosted as part of The Organic Growth pages as RE-EXIST, a themed collection of items, 'Re-Creating the Existing', and I am hoping to both encourage fellow artists to contribute to the site and also to be a platform which will enable green and eco-artists to show and compare their work. We will not be acting as editors of your creations, but wish to help you promote your message, be it the message of cleaning rivers, air travel, ethical banking and any other ethical and ecological issues. Whilst the main theme is 'Love thy Organic', other themes are also considered appropriate, 'The Law of Deflection', 'Spiritual Organic', and 'Re-Creating the Existing', which are all inspired by our work here at The Organic Home. I am preparing and annual competition, based upon these ideas, with a prize of £1000.00 for the winner. To enable this, I am asking you, the creative, to forward your work to me in any category, and I can then build the online gallery to display and promote your eco-art, and eventually have your work judged, and hopefully sold! Art has the power to provoke, stimulate, excite and frighten - as well as the ability to sooth, calm and amuse, so - use the power of your chosen medium to make your point… o

Everyone knows the causes of his/her illness and stress because we are borne with that gift. Some have natural talent for it, but majority of us have to relearn, to remember how to treat ourselves naturally. If we are tired of all treatments, and are full of enthusiasm for a healthy life, then SWABHAVIK BUDDI or OZA (the inner healing force) reveals it and our inner sprit changes its direction to a healthy life style. Everyone, without exception, needs to see the connecting threads that exist between their disease and their way of living- that thread is called SWABHAVIK BUDDI or OZA (inner healing force) in Ayurveda. This OZA or the thinking immune system that the body is blessed with knows how to discriminate between a friendly bacteria and unfriendly bacteria, between pathological chemicals and harmless chemicals. When the body encounters a bacterium for the first time, despite never having encountered it before, it is reminded of the first human encounter with bacterium in the evolutionary history of the species and makes the precise antibody for that bacterium. We name it SWABHAVIK BUDDI or OZA (inner healing force). The body naturally makes the right dose of antibodies at the right time, for the right organ, with no side effects. This capacity demonstrates the profound intelligence of the body. One might in fact say that our whole body is a field of intelligence. The body needs to be cared for. In this day and age the body requires greater attention. It is to be remembered that who we are and what our body is are not really two separate things, but the manifestation of one. Our soul is our visible body and our body is our visible soul. Ayurveda teaches this unity, and with this unity, the human becomes whole. If our body is neglected, we will not be able to find inner harmony. It is a great gift. It is a miracle; a mystery. According to scientists the body has millions and millions of living cel

Outline of Transcendental Meditation - 0 views

In this meditation the mind actually experiences subtler states of thought without having to imagine, anticipate, or aim at any particular process. It is an entirely innocent process which succeeds under the personal guidance of a qualified teacher. THE IMPORTANCE OF REST Life processes in two fundamental steps: Rest an activity. And the quality of rest received influences all aspects of life. For example, after a sleepless night there is a tendency to feel tired, irritable and to be unable to think clearly. Whereas after a good nights rest one feels fresh and alert, able to think more clearly and constructively and can achieve more with less effort. Therefore happiness, health, success, and fulfillment in life are dependent on our ability to rest effectively and so regenerate the system. Lack of this ability forms the basics of unclear thinking , pessimism, worry and anxiety, poor health and tension - and also what psychologists tell us is the use of only about 10% of our mental potential. The answer then is to find an effective way of resting and enlivening the nervous system. WHAT TRANSCENDENTAL MEDITATION IS TM is a simple, natural way of gaining deep relaxation. It is not a religion, philosophy or belief, nor does it involve hypnosis, autosuggestion or trance-states. During meditation the body is more relaxed than ever in the deepest sleep and the mind is restful but awake. After meditation a person feels calmer and revitalized, more relaxed and yet, at the same time, more energetic and lively. TM is a natural , spontaneous technique which allows each individual to expand his conscious mind and improve all aspects of life. WHAT TM INVOLVES The practice of TM requires that one sits, with closed eyes, for a period of 20 minutes twice a day. In this state finer levels of thought are experienced until the mind transcends even the finest level and arrives at the very source of thought. Because of the mind's natural tendency to move in the directi
