Why Relevant and Summary: This website shows an overview of the most common form of labor and delivery. It gives examples of methods use to deliver a baby.
How This Influenced My Thinking: Although i was aware of this form of childbirth method, I was not aware of the terminology that doctors use, and how complex childbirth actually is. It has open my eyes to the variety of methods.
Credibility of Source: This source was somewhat credible. This website is useful if wanting to get an overview of the topic or if one is new to topic. This source is a good way to begin with research, however more extensive research should be done.
Title: Texas Mom Delivers Two Sets of Identical Twins

Why relevant to summary: This is a story of a woman giving birth to two sets of identical twin boys. It is a very rare occurrence and it mostly happen if IVF is involved; in this particular case was all natural. The pregnancy and delivery had no complications and the 4 baby boys were delivered at 31 weeks via c-section.
How has this influenced my thinking: This was a good happy story that it doesn't happen very often.

Why Relevant and Summary:Talks about breastfeeding in India. Angawadi health workers hold monthly meetings to teach on the importance of breastfeeding exclusively for the first 6 months. Before the health workers, mother's gave their infants goat's milk. They threw away the colostrum believing it was dirty. At first the women would not listen. The Angawadi health workers had to gain their trust. The health workers speak to all family members. Almost 2 million children die in India each year before age 5, mostly because of preventable diseases.
How This Influenced My Thinking: Sometimes it just takes some educating and informing people on simple steps that can prevent infant and childhood death.

Why relevant and summary: One of the birth options that I talked about was a homebirth. This article talked about why women choose to have homebirths, the cases where it would not be recommended and how to prepare for a homebirth
How it influenced my thinking: It didn't change my thinking, but it was a good reference and confirmed some of the things that I said.

Why Relevant and Summary: This is relevant because it compares to modes of birth delivery: cesarean section and vaginal delivery. This article compares the types of microbes that inhabit a newborn's skin after birth. It looks at newborns born via cesarean section and vaginal.
How This Influenced My Thinking: It provided a more quantifiable way to measure and compare cesarean section and vaginal birth because I still do not have a strong opinion as to how I would personally choose to have my children.
