RF Transmission Line Loss Calculator / Enhanced - 0 views

  •
    "This calculator computes the matched line loss for a transmission line using a model calibrated from data for the transmission line types built in to the calculator. It also gives an estimate of the mismatched loss if the mismatch is specified." This model has been recommended by Cebik.

    "When considering the effects of feedlines it should pointed out that it is often not appreciated that a coax cable is really three conductors at RF. The three are: 1. the outside surface of the inner conductor, 2. the inside surface of the outer conductor, 3. the outside surface of the outer conductor. The outer conductor of the coax is just as much a "wire" as any other wire in the system. It is not necessary, however, to model the inner conductor and the inner surface of the outer conductor. So the coax is just modeled as another wire. "

    Omni-Rig: A COM component for transceiver/receiver CAT control FREEWARE Features * multi-threading: multiple programs, written by different authors in different languages, can control the radio via Omni-Rig at the same time; * external rig description files: the support of a new rig model can be implemented just by creating an ini file that describes the CAT commands of the radio;

    Please consider participating in the project by testing the code and the rig description files, or by creating your own rig description files.

Cebik antenna and other short limited space dipole antennas - 0 views

    "A good rule of thumb is length in feet must equal 1.25 times the band in meters. The result is the minimum dipole length you can use without using a good matching system in, at, or near the antenna!"
