    How are children trafficked
Kaela from Ohio was target while she was walking on the street. She was approached by an older man in a nice car.
Prey on youngsters who seem lonely and seek affirmation from adults
found at malls, bus stations, and on the internet
girls told pimps are boyfriends and believe they will be provided for
lots of runaways, 70% are foster kids
come from unstable families where they are verbally & physically abused because they're easy targets
A girl named "Rosa" was brought to the US and she was a virgin so she was raped again and again to get ready for work
What happens when they are trafficked
robbed, raped, and nearly lost on the streets
stay in motel rooms and use all the marijuana and crack they could smoke
often held in illegal debt-bondage, told they owe money for transport and lodging and they must work long hours to pay it off
families threatened with violence if they don't cooperate
    live in paralyzing fear
isolated and exploited, beaten and mentally abused, raped, drugged, and used for sex
forced to use alcohol and drugs to be "ready" for their next custumer and because of this they become addicted.
one girl named "Rosa" in an article on stop child trafficking now became pregnant twice and forced to have an abortion both times
a woman mentioned in an ABC action news article was taken all over the country to Boston, Miami, Las Vegas, Cleveland to work and forced to do 20-40 tricks a night
her only dasy off was Christmas
"Rosa" and many others are jailed as criminals for prostitution and not treated as victims.
    Psychological Effects on Children
    children are brainwashed by pimps
they are afraid to run away because they think their families will judged them and not love them anymore because of what they have done
When "Marie" did what her pimp wanted she was complimented and she thought that was love
Tina, a former child prostitute, was asked to sit in her pimp's lap after abuse and asked what was wrong. When she answered saying he broke her arm, she was hit until she replied to his question with I fell down
According to Tina If they don't escape in time trafficking victims may embark on a lifetime of risky behaviors
77% of trafficked children go on to engage in adult prostitution
In response to this traum, victims often develop drug addictions, depression, PTSD, and Stockhol stndrome, that leads them to sympathize with their traffickers

"Networks of residentially-based brothels primarily operated by and for recent
immigrants from Latin America are maintained in many urban areas in the United
    States"

"In Las Vegas, there are 120 pages of advertisements for sexual services under the
heading of "entertainment services" in the yellow pages phone book"

We as Americans like to hold ourselves to a higher standard, but we are stooping to these same horrific levels. These quotes are just frustrating and disgusting.

Child trafficking in general is completely disgusting, but it repulses me that you can hav sex with a small child, right here in our part of Florida (not that it wouldn't be horrible anywhere else) and it will only cost you $200. I could withdraw that amount from my savings account today and it wouldn't be that big of a deal. I didn't know these children were having their lives sold right out from under their feet for such low costs. I'm not implying that it would be better if it costs more, I'm just saying that at only $200, that's entirely too affordable. The emotionally scarring and damage these children will have for the rest of their life is appalling.

100,000 to 300,000 are at risk in the US alone are at risk for trafficking this year alone. These statistics are just disgusting.
