"Vídeos ▼ https://vimeo.com/pannirbr ► RELATORIOS GESTAO ENCONOMICA Geoff Moxham - Biochar Lecture - 90min https://vimeo.com/ This is the final full lecture given by Geoff before his fatal accident in August 2009 and the public release of this video is intended as a second anniversary remembrance tribute for 27/8/2011. It was part of the ongoing workshops held at The Castle on the Hill in Uki near Mt Warning http://www.castleonhill.com/workshops.htm/ You can explore all Geoff's work on his website http://www.bodgershovel.com/ including a collection of videos demonstrating various pyrolysis and Biochar production techniques. This extended 90 minute talk shows Geoff in great form, complete with a supportive slide presentation, pyrolysis gadgets, him munching on Biochar samples, pyromania and his usual, unique Mad Scientist sense of humour. It's easy to see his skill as a qualified Industrial Arts teacher showing through and his early fascination with Professor Julius Sumner Miller on the TV show 'Why Is It So?', which he watched religiously in the early 60's. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LIfxV7uNZXQ It is also beautiful to watch his sense of fluid movement as he describes his concepts with his whole body and energy field. As a Tai Chi master you can see many of the Tai Chi set moves incorporated into his presentation. Geoff was the second speaker at The Castle that day along with John Davis from The Rainbow Power Company in Nimbin who gave an overview of solar power. This Vimeo video copy is Part Two of a DVD filmed and produce by Paul Tait from Gaia Films in Nimbin who has kindly given permission to upload Geoff's part of the lecture in full and make it publicly available at no charge. The full DVD, including the talk on solar power, is still available from Paul Tait gaiafilm@linearg.com for a very nominal price. You can find out all about the Biochar movement now from the primary person who continued Geoff's work by exploring Paul Taylor's website http://w

For instance, semi intensive aquaculture farming for prawns is the most widely spread method, which yields up to 2.5 to 3 metric tons of prawns per harvesting cycle (4 to 5 months) per hectare of farming-pond. Considering current selling price of US $ 10,000 per ton one can see that this is a business opportunity not to be missed. It is nicknamed: "THE BLUE GOLD". The following table 1 gives an idea about investment in tiger prawn farming: Prawn Farming On a 100 Hectares Compound / semi intensive operation Investment - US $ 6,850,000 Yields - tons 150 300 500 metric tons Turnover 1,500,000 3,000,000 5,000,000 US $ Direct cost of sales 300,000 600,000 1,000,000 US $ Operating costs 150,000 300,000 500,000 US $ Interest + taxes 700,000 700,000 700,000 US $ Net profit 350,000 1,400,000 2,800,000 US $
