As we start doing more in graphic design, you are also building a portfolio. With that i think this page really shows how to build a professional portfolio! 

You won't use InDesign until Graphic 2 but i still recommend getting use to the program if you want to become a graphic designer since this program is used for many things including brochures and business cards!
