This article shows how Australia is trying its best to aid the Women's Right department and introduce financial aids, safety, violence prevention and granting more space on the parliamentary seats to be granted more say in decision making. It is noteworthy how they are doing this because they know that in order for a country to reach it's full potential, it has to maximize the use of human resources in the country. 

Asia is in the grip of a diabetes epidemic. In human and financial terms, the burden is huge and it is hitting the poor especially hard. Often thought of as a disease of the rich, experts say the unabating rise may be fuelled as much by food scarcity and insecurity as it is by excess. Changing lifestyles, rapid urbanisation and cheap calories in the form of processed foods are putting more and more people at risk of developing Type-2 diabetes. There are now 382 million people worldwide living with diabetes, according to new figures from the International Diabetes Federation (IDF). More than half are in Asia and the Western Pacific, where 90-95% of cases are classed as Type-2.

"A huge clean-up operation is under way in the Philippines after Typhoon Nesat battered the capital Manila and the main island, Luzon. The death toll rose to 18 with 35 still missing after heavy rain and powerful winds triggered storm surges. Most deaths occurred in and around Manila, officials said."
