Hollywood actress Anne Hathaway, who portrayed the iconic character of a mother-turned-prostitute Fantine in Tom Hooper's musical Les Miserables, has took home the Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her role. The 30-year-old was a favourite to win the trophy for the difficult role, which saw her chopping off her tresses and losing about 25lb.
