Even though her film Besharam, which was her first film as the leading lady, didn’t work well at the box-office, the pretty lass Pallavi Sharda is keeping her chin-up, and is proud of her work. Despite coming from Australia, this Indian-origin girl took the task to fit in the role of Delhi-Punjabi girl in the film helmed by Abhinav Singh Kashyap. "I think I always wanted to play different characters. This is what I have done in my life. I am happy to oscillate between an urban city girl and 'desi' girl," she says.You may know that she debuted in Bollywood playing a small-town girl in Manoj Bajpai’s Dus Tola, and then went on to star in films like My Name Is Khan and Love Breakups Zindagi. "In any case I do come from an Indian family. I thought it would be a great challenge to be seen as this 'desi' girl." Glad to work with Ranbir Kapoor in her first leading role, she said, "Ranbir is such an amazing person. He is supportive, generous, gives a lot of space and understands that there is a lot of work done through team work," she gushes, "I had no hesitation about how he would be as a co-actor. He is a brilliant actor and always on the top of the game. That was a further challenge for me only to pull myself up. Also, Abhinav was always there to push me into delivering my best. I think Ranbir doesn't come across as a superstar that he is. He is just a hard working actor. When you see his humility, you are amazed."We’re sure Ranbir must be beaming ear-to-ear after hearing this!

It is a known fact that Salman Khan likes to paint a canvas. And to our surprise, he is the one who painted the poster of his upcoming film Jai Ho, got released recently. It is for the first time when Dabangg star took the brush in hand and figured out a painting for a film. Till then, we got to know about his skills only from his close friends who received his works of art as gifts in the past.It is said that Salman was enthusiastic to have his fans on his flagship poster, so thousands of faces have been merged to make a close up shot of him. “Salman, along with brother Sohail Khan (who is directing the film as well as producing it along with Sunil Lulla) were keen to have something special as the first imagery of the film, as they are coming together after a long time,” informed sources.Produced by Eros International and Sohail Khan Productionz, Jai Ho is coming out in theatres on January 24. Interestingly, this movie would be his next release after Ek Tha Tiger, which hit theatres almost one and a half year back, making it the longest gap ever between his film releases.As per the sources, fans queued up on his social networking page to be a part of the poster, which the actor drew and gave to his digital team to incorporate. All set to be seen in upcoming action-comedy Boss, superstar Akshay Kumar revealed while promoting the Anthony D’Souza directorial, that he has this greed of doing good work, and it is in his nature to not take success for granted.He also revealed that he feels a sense of thrill doing stunts in his films, on his own, and exclusively for Boss, he has also avoided cable action. “In Boss, there is no cable action because youngsters are getting bored of it. They feel that the actors are not doing much — the cables are in all the jumps etc. In this film I have avoided cables. I just sit with my 10-year-old son and he gives me so much input. I get introduced to new music, new cinema, short films on YouTube courtesy Aarav (his son),” says Akshay.With Boss, he has turned mentors to two actors, Shiv Pandit and Aditi Rao Hydari, on the same, he said, “Shiv and Aditi are both very good. The team and I thought that they would be perfect for the parts they play. He's a handsome, good-looking young boy. I really enjoyed the first film that he did —Shaitaan—he had done a very good job. Aditi works from the heart, is a very good actress, with a vulnerable face so we decided that they should be a part of our film. Shiv and I are brothers and sons to Mithun Chakraborty. Miss Lovely marks the first release for Easel, the brainchild of distribution executive Abhishek Gautam and filmmakers Bikramjit Gupta, Atanu Mukherjee and Pooja Gupte. Veteran distributor Sunny Khanna is in with Easel and Eagle to release Miss Lovely, according to Screen Daily.“We hope to release across 200-300 screens,” said Abhishek Gautam. “As a team we want to focus on distributing independent cinema in India.” The company will also release Sangee Thongdok’s Crossing Bridges, made in the north-east Indian dialect of Sherdukpen, that premiered at Mumbai Film Festival.Meanwhile, former IFC Films executive Ryan Werner and distribution agency Required Viewing are working on the US release of Miss Lovely, which is scheduled for March 2014. Cinetic Media’s FilmBuff is handling digital distribution for North America.Miss Lovely premiered at Cannes in Un Certain Regard in 2012 and won best film in the India Gold competition at last year’s Mumbai Film Festival. Fortissimo Films sold the film to France’s Ad Vitam in Cannes 2012.

Aamir Khan had to be on medication to keep nausea down for days when the actor was shooting for Dhoom 3’s song, Malang. The song has been shot at a huge height of about 80 feet and Aamir was to rotate 60 times in a minute for the same.Aamir plays the role of a gymnast in Dhoom 3 and this was required. It is the first time the actor will be doing a thing like that. However, the perfectionist that he is, the actor willingly took it up without complaints and wanted to do it just the right way. It took the team about 15 days to complete the shoot of the song and Aamir Khan was on medication for those many days. The medication was to help him keep nausea down. As he was at a huge height, taking turns, it is human to feel nauseated.Also to make sure all is well, the makers of the movie specially called a doctor, who works with gymnasts, to be on the sets to help Aamir. Dhoom 3 is a high on energy song. In terms of scale or budgets it is going to be massive. The song is around the central theme of gymnastic and will have 200 dancers in the frame.Spokesperson of Aamir Khan says, "The song was being shot at about 80 feet from the ground. To do this, Aamir was on special medication to be able to perform at ease without major effects on his health."

It seems Life OK’s mythological show Devon Ke Dev Mahadev, which stars TV heartthrob Mohit Raina as Lord Shiva, has lost its charm. Earlier it was reported that the channel is not getting good TRPs from the show and now it is said that its actors are quitting the show.Puja Banerjee who portrays the role of Lord Parvati is said to have quit the show owning some health issues. Interestingly, Puja was featured in the show after replacing popular actress Sonarika Bhadoria. She played the character for four months only. But unlike Sonarika, who was shown the door citing some payment issues, the actress herself has decided to quit the show.According to the close sources of the actress it is get to know that Puja couldn’t manage to overcome from her health issues and dedicate her time to the show. “Puja has been complaining about health issues for some time. The schedule is physically exhausting for her. She conveyed the problem to the production house and they released her. Her notice period ends in January, next year. The channel tried its best to convince her, but in vain,” sources said.Now, the team of Devon Ke Dev Mahadev is looking for the replacement of Puja Banerjee. The R...Rajkumar team unveiled the first ever custom comic for a Bollywood film at the Reliance Digital Store in Mumbai today. Producer Viki Rajani, director Prabhu Dheva and the lead pair- Sonakshi Sinha and Shahid Kapoor - who looked all excited to present the fun-filled comic of their upcoming film, were present at the event.The storyline of the comic has been shortlisted from the entries sent by enthusiastic fans across the nation. The winners not only got the once-in-a-lifetime chance to feature in the comics, but were also invited and introduced at the launch.Talking about R...Rajkumar’s custom comic, producer Viki Rajani said "Movie marketing continues to become more innovative and with this film, we have attempted initiatives to reach across all mediums. I'm happy to have the first ever custom comic book for R...Rajkumar which involved direct participation by fans and showed their keen response and enthusiasm".Shahid and Sonakshi, ecstatic with the response the songs of the film have been receiving, said that they were eagerly looking forward to the release of the film. Shahid also danced to Gandi Baat, much to the delight of the crowd present at the event. Films capture journeys but in Imtiaz Ali's much-awaited Highway, the journey has made the film. Presented by Sajid Nadiadwala and starring Alia Bhatt and Randeep Hooda, the film traverses six states of north India and captures the landscape of the different regions as it goes along.Highway Diaries, are short video snippets that capture the journey of the film and all the exciting experiences that the cast and crew had during its making.In the latest episode of Highway Diaries, the film crew is seen shooting on their way to Ajmer from Gurgaon. They have just crossed Haryana and the director Imtiaz Ali and his team savour the daal-roti at a dhaba near the Haryana-Rajasthan border check-post. Pointing towards the check-post, Imtiaz Ali says, “We have just crossed into Rajasthan and in that distance I think the texture of the food has changed”.Highway will release on February 21st 2014!

It was an over the moon moment when Saif Ali Khan, who is a huge fan of James Bond, heard that he will get to shoot at MI6 building, seen in several Bond films. The MI6 building, located along the river Thames, is the headquarters of the British Secret Intelligence Service. This location has been used only in Bond movies, but not for any Bollywood film. Filmmaker Sajid Khan was the one who manages to get permission to shoot at the building for his forthcoming film Humshakals, which apart from Saif Ali Khan also stars Bipasha Basu, Ram Kapoor, Tamannaah Bhatia, Esha Gupta and Riteish Deshmukh.“Sajid was keen to shoot one of the sequences there as he is fascinated by the building. When he told Saif about it, the actor who loves Bond (remember Agent Vinod), was excited,” revealed sources from the production team.While he enjoyed the shoot thoroughly, there was one hitch. Recently buzz had that Rajkummar Rao was ousted from upcoming film NH10, as actress and co-producer Anushka Sharma was not happy with him being the leading hero. For those unaware, Anushka is co-producing the action thriller with Phantom Films.Meanwhile, clearing the air regarding Anushka’s interference, Rao, 29, said that the decision to leave the project was mutual, and Anushka has nothing to do with this.  "I never signed NH 10 officially. I was supposed to do it. Then it got delayed. Then I moved on to other films like Kai Po Che and Shahid. Then I started working on another film. I can't do two films at the same time. I prefer doing one film at a time," said Rajkummar."So it was a mutual decision. I share a very good relation with the team. I think Anushka is also a very sensible girl. She is a really good actor and I don't think she will do anything like that," he added. It is said that it was Anushka’s call to replace Rajkummar with actor Neil Bhoopalam, who is currently seen in Anil Kapoor's 24.However, Rao says he has no issues with Anushka at all. Bollywood is reeling with shock over the fallout between actor Sushant Singh Rajput filmmaker Abhishek Kapoor. It has been buzzing that former has refused to do latter’s film citing his date issues. Sushant was launched by Abhishek amidst full fanfare in commercially successful film Kai Po Che. The actor, later, went ahead to sign two major films, Shuddh Desi Romance (released with descent reviews) and Peekay (Aamir Khan’s ambitious project likely to release in next year).However, it is reported that Sushant has snubbed Abhishek, his mentor, for other projects. “Sushant stabbed his mentor by giving Aditya Chopra preference over him. And, even as we write, details of this guru-shishya estrangement are still tumbling out, said gossipmongers.A close friend of Abhishek said, “Abhishek was shocked when he heard that he would have to wait in queue for Sushant's dates. Gattu's ego was also hurt because he would have to deal with Sushant's management team (who work under Adi) for all things related to the boy who he had given a break.”Well, this is not the first time when actors broke out with their godfathers immediately after their debut.
