Let me start admitting here about Naked Harbour (Vousaari) not being an Artsy film at all. To some point, the film surely follows the lines and impact of Alejandro González Iñárritu's Babel (2007) and Paul Haggis Crash (2004). Aku Louhimies Naked Harbour features an interesting yet strong emotional theme of intersecting characters and plot-lines.The film follows inside-out look of 8 stories and their characters who is an American visiting the city on business, A junkie couple struggling to pay off a thug, A 16 year old girl who will go to any length for fame, a bullied Russian immigrant boy, a couple whose marriage is falling apart, a schoolboy whose only friend is his dog, A father who projects his body issues onto his teenage son, and a young single mother undergoing chemotherapy.Every character is undergoing some form of problems and non-acceptance in his/her life.  And at times the film is genuinely heart-breaking, particularly the story-lines dealing with children.The only story which was not convincing enough according to me was of the American who is on a business tour in the city. Yes there is a heavy amount of sex in the film but it's dealt in a convincing way. All the stories and performances in the film are outstanding. The story that really hit me to tears was about the Mother-Daughter relationship where the mother is undergoing chemotherapy, The 16 year old girl who wants just one shot to fame and the schoolboy and his only best friend which is a Dog.Prolific Film maker Aku Louhimies has extracted wonderful performances from all the actors and have presented a film that questions your inner soul at times. The Background Score, Production Values, Camera Work and Editing rises the top position while you are watching this beautiful journey of Finland and its people.Naked Harbour (Vuosaari) is not a film that should be missed. The film is surely a film that will make you discuss on a longer period of time even after you have left the auditorium. Two Thumbs Up for this Aku Louhimies masterpiece!

Who would not like to shake a leg with the dashing star of the Bollywood industry aka John Abraham? The actor who can give you shrills with his slight smile is one of the most desired hunk of the industry, but what sources say is something really unusual. Huma Qureshi, who has not been in the industry for long has refused to do an item song with John Abraham in the upcoming movie Welcome Back. The actress, who was seen in the famous Anurag Kashyap’s movie Gangs of Wasseypur, has recently turned down the offer to shake a leg with Johnny boy since her demands were not being accepted by the filmmakers. It is being speculated that the actress was not happy with the paycheque, but was really keen to work with John. A close source to Huma said, “The makers of the film were very keen on signing her for the song but other commitments came in the way of her chance to dance with John.”When Anees Bazmee was contacted for the same, he put forth both the points, he said, “We wanted to have her in the song but then there were date issues. Also, she asked for a lot of money and that became a problem for us.”Now John will be seen with six girls in the song. We think that the actor has become even luckier with Huma’s refusal.

Filmmaker Anurag Basu must be beaming from ear-to-ear as his film Barfi, which was the story of a deaf and mute boy, turned out to be the top winner at the maiden edition of the Times of India Film Awards (TOIFA). It won the trophies in the category of Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor and Best Actress.

Bollywood curly haired actress Kangana Ranaut, who plays a lethal mutant Kaya in Krrish 3, a prostitute in Rajjo, a dacoit-cum-gangster in Revolver Rani and a Delhi based next-to-door girl in Queen, is satisfied with her work she did in different genres of films. She says her dream of portraying a super girl in movies has come true with Krrish 3, directed by Rakesh Roshan and featuring Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra and Vivek Oberoi.Kangana says she always wanted to play characters with the qualities of a supergirl. She says her dream has comes true thanks to her roles of Kaya. “I am already playing my dream role in Revolver Rani, Queen and Krrish 3. I always wanted to play a supergirl and I am getting to do that. So it's a dream come true,” said Kangana, who is feeling blessed to get powerful roles in Revolver Rani and Queen as well.Currently busy in promotion activities of Krrish 3, last visited TV show Comedy Night with Kapil, Kananga is all pack in the upcoming season. Her films are lined up to release giving her busy schedule to pursue without interruption. The promo of her film Rajjo has also been starting raising eyebrows. Kangana went to great lengths to prepare for her role as a mujrewali in Rajjo, directed by Vishwas Patil. The film is a love story between her, a Muslim, and a teenage Brahmin boy, essayed by Paras Arora.Krrish 3 is releasing on November 4.

After winning million fans as the protagonist, Maanvi, in Star Plus’ hit show Ek Hazaaro Mein Meri Behena Hai, the pretty and vivacious Niaa Sharma went missing from the screen.And now, she is coming back with a new show. She will anchor the finale episode of MTV Webbed, being produced by Lost Boy Productions and Balaji Telefilms. It is based on cyber crime and the final episode will air on 15 December 2013. Actors like Veebha Anand, Vrinda Dawda and Chestha Bhagat will be seen in the finale episode.Confirming the report, Niaa said, “Yes, I have already shot for the final episode and it was super fun shooting after a while now. I got opportunity to showcase my hosting skills after a long time. I did anchor a bit during my school days. In daily soaps, you have to enact a character but here I have to be myself. I always wanted to be a part of a youth show and I am happy to host MTV Webbed.”Talking about anchoring whether she would like to do more in the same field or concentrate more on acting, Niaa said, “Yes, I would love to. But according to me, hosting business is male dominated in Indian television. The way men can mimic or crack any kind of joke, it connects with viewers. It doesn’t mean female can’t do it but daily soaps are female oriented and anchoring is male dominated.”Indeed, good news for her fans!

All set to be seen in upcoming action-comedy Boss, superstar Akshay Kumar revealed while promoting the Anthony D’Souza directorial, that he has this greed of doing good work, and it is in his nature to not take success for granted.He also revealed that he feels a sense of thrill doing stunts in his films, on his own, and exclusively for Boss, he has also avoided cable action. “In Boss, there is no cable action because youngsters are getting bored of it. They feel that the actors are not doing much — the cables are in all the jumps etc. In this film I have avoided cables. I just sit with my 10-year-old son and he gives me so much input. I get introduced to new music, new cinema, short films on YouTube courtesy Aarav (his son),” says Akshay.With Boss, he has turned mentors to two actors, Shiv Pandit and Aditi Rao Hydari, on the same, he said, “Shiv and Aditi are both very good. The team and I thought that they would be perfect for the parts they play. He's a handsome, good-looking young boy. I really enjoyed the first film that he did —Shaitaan—he had done a very good job. Aditi works from the heart, is a very good actress, with a vulnerable face so we decided that they should be a part of our film. Shiv and I are brothers and sons to Mithun Chakraborty. Numero uno actress Deepika Padukone was lauded in a huge manner for her dance performance in Nagada Sang Dhol from Ram-Leela. However, if given the chance to performance again on the song, she feels it would be almost impossible for her to do it without film’s director Sanjay Leela Bhansali.In fact, the actress feels that the song’s popularity was the least expected of the lot. "There were other songs in the album which we thought would become popular, this was the underdog. In fact, I am doing a show where I am expected to recreate that magic but I don't think I'll be able to do that if I don't have Sanjay to direct," said Deepika.For those unaware, Deepika will be performing at the Temptation Reloaded show in Dubai on Sunday with stars like Shah Rukh Khan and Madhuri Dixit. Recently, she also completed the shooting of Homi Adajania’s directorial English film Finding Fanny Fernandes."It should be ready to release soon," she revealed. Superstar Shah Rukh Khan is one such actor who has high regard for his female actresses, and it was only few months’ back that he announced that his name would be preceded by his heroine's name in his films. He was also upset with the fact that in India female foeticide still exists. "It is an extremely unfortunate thought process. A child is a child and I don't think any woman or boy is better than the other. Each person has his or her own circumstances and education. Telly industry’s one of the beautiful couples, Daljeet Kaur and Shaleen Bhanot, has become mother and father for the first time. They got married on December 9, 2009, and reportedly have delivered a baby boy their first child on November 8. Both, mother and newbie are healthy and will soon get discharge from hospital.Shaleen, who was seen in Sajda Tere Pyaar Mein, said, “We are ecstatic with the addition to our family. It's a feeling that one can't express. Daljeet and our baby are doing absolutely fine and I can't wait to bring them home. I thank everyone who has prayed for us and given us their blessings.”The couple is yet to finalize a name for their little bundle of joy. Interestingly, both Daljeet and Shaleen celebrate their birthday in the same month when their kid has born. They celebrate it on November 15.Daljeet Kaur was last seen in the popular serial called Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon as Anjali Shyam Jha.
