Once Amitabh Bachchan said in a statement that people in filmdom used to criticise him in his initial stage because of his giraffe length height, but instead of getting disappointed from the comments he fought with the community and proved his mettle to the entire industry.Something similar has experienced by Bollywood actress Nimrat Kaur, who says when she landed in tinsel town, people had different opinions about her look. She had an illiberal experience when a filmmaker advised her to go for a plastic surgery. She said, “When I came into the industry, people had different opinions about how I look. Some told me I was too pretty, others said I wasn't fair enough or tall enough. Nearly seven years ago, I was even advised by a filmmaker to consider plastic surgery. Soon, I stopped thinking about what works.”The actress, who stars in much acclaimed film The Lunchbox, has been now praised for her looks and performance by audience and critics as well. About the success she said, “I am happy with the kind of launch I have got. It is a very exciting time for actors as roles that can surprise them are being written. This was not the case 15 years ago. A film like The Dirty Picture would not have been possible then. Also we, including the audience, are more exposed to world cinema these days. Its effect has seeped into the industry. Filmmakers today have a wider vocabulary.”Way to girl!

Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan is true family man. He splendidly manages to give time to wife and kids, that why he takes them on yearly holidays. But it seems the coming days are going to be most difficult for the actor, as there would be a lot of work clashing on a special occasion, i.e. wife Sussanne Roshan’s birthday on 26 October.The actor will most likely to be in Dubai for the promotional acts of his forthcoming film Krrish 3, directed by father Rakesh Roshan and stars him as superhero Krrish. This is Hrithik and Rakesh’s most anticipated project that took three years in completion. Now, as the entire team including Hrithik, Priyanka Chopra, Kangana Ranaut and Vivek Oberoi are busy in promoting the science-fiction flick, Hrithik has requested his management team to ensure he lands in Mumbai from Dubai by noon on his wife's special day (Oct 26).         It is a known fact that Hrithik usually hosts a dinner for his wife Sussanne on her birthday and has plans to do something similar this year too. If he would gets the time from promotions on the same day than he intends to play host at a dinner in her honour. Unlike many Bollywood actors who are opting for adult comedy as a medium to entertainment the mass audience, actor Ajay Devgn says he will never does any vulgar film that a universal audience can’t watch. He adds that he likes to entertain viewers doing comedy, even his family (his both children loves him doing comedy films) but he will never go for the adult and offensive genre to amuse them.Ajay Devgn is like a true family man who has two kids, one daughter and a son. He said, “My kids love comedy films. But I cannot always do comedy films and I have vowed that I will not do any vulgar movies that a family cannot sit and watch together. Bollywood starlet Mallika Sherawat’s debut show on television The Bachelorette India-Mere Khayalon Ki Mallika has failed to ring a bell at TRP meter and gets an average opening of 1,700 TVT in its opening week. It was premiered on Life OK on October 7. The rating is much lower than what other non-fiction shows got in their first week. For instance, Kaun Banega Crorepati garnered 8,705 and Bigg Boss 7 got 5,080 TVT.The Bachelorette India is the first official version of the international reality show-The Bachelorette because we have seen three and half versions of this same reality show on Imagine TV but then they were not official version but were inspired.Though the show was launched with much pomp and glory but it seems the audiences are not interested in Mallika’s hunt for her life-partner. Maybe it’s lure for big bucks that might have prompted Mallika Sherawat to scout for a partner through a reality show because it is difficult to believe that a Bollywood actress, who has had a tryst with Hollywood, hasn’t been able to find a companion.Let’s see if she really gets a suitor or everything is scripted.

Filmmaker Punit Malhotra, whose directorial Gori Tere Pyaar Mein releases soon, says that he wanted the film to be a two-hero two-heroine, and for the same, he wanted Saif Ali Khan to be the other hero, besides Imran Khan. "At one point of time this film was a two hero-two heroine subject. I only went to the boys. It was Saif and Imran. But for some reasons that didn't work out. I then made it into a solo hero film," says Punit. After making debut with I Hate Luv Storys, Punit took quite long to come up with his next."Imran made me wait a lot. I took three drafts to him, he had issues with first and second draft. When I went for the third time, he approved the first draft only. That led to the delay but I have no complaints," said Punit. Meanwhile, rumours had that Shahid Kapoor was approached for the project.Speaking on the same, Punit said that he did approach another actor, but denied naming him. "Imran initially rejected it, so I went to another actor, but that didn't work out and I made the changes in the script and went back to Imran and then he liked the first draft itself," he said.He also revealed that Saif rejected the offer. "Things with Saif never worked out, but he said take Kareena. We also felt at some point that there is too much happening, so we mellowed it down and made it one hero film," Punit said."We were first waiting for Imran's approval and after that happened, we started thinking about the female lead opposite him. Imran asked me who I wanted, I said Kareena but I felt she was beyond my reach," the director said."Also she had lot of projects in hand at that time. Then it so happened that she walked out of those projects and her dates opened up. I called her, narrated the script and it worked out well," he said. Gori Tere Pyaar Mein releases on November 22!

King Khan Shah Rukh Khan is under the influence of weather change. He is suffering from fever and is said to be resting at home and watching his movies on television. Recently, Amitabh Bachchan was not keeping well too due to the change of weather.Shahrukh Khan gets emotional on watching his movies on TV and tweeted his presence state of mind, "My life is in films not years". Seems like landmark for one or other film of mine. Don yesterday (Saturday), Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge today (Sunday). My life is in films not years... Wow. Been under the weather. Will spend tonight watching `Chennai Express` on Zee TV. I am sure will bring some taste to my bland chicken soup." Shah Rukh tweeted Sunday.Shahrukh’s next will be Farah Khan’s Happy New Year and he will team up Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan and Boman Irani in the film.
