Very smart augmented reality simulation (or maybe more)

A combined effort between Steve Kluge at Fox Lane High School and myself ended with the development of a poster presentation at the Northeastern Sectional GSA Meeting demonstrating the usefulness of the powerful, yet user friendly, program of Google Earth.

Within this site you will find lesson ideas, examples, and downloads for mathematics that embrace active learning, constructivism, and project-based learning while remaining true to the standards. The initial focus will be for grades 5 and up, but teachers of younger students may be able to find some uses or inspiration from the site. Higher level thinking skills, such as analysis, synthesis, and creativity are encouraged as well as technology skills and social learning. The scope of this site is mathematics, but many lessons lend themselves to interdisciplinary activities also.

The snoovel Tour Director is the first interactive browser tool to build so called geo movies. In our application you can pull together your gpx-data, kmz-files (e.g. Google Sketchup 3d objects) and all kinds of media (videos , audiofiles, images, texts etc.) to one dynamic Google Earth animation playing inside a webbrowser.
