I think the conclusion of this article addresses poverty from a fairly guiltless standpoint, but I feel that the injustices done came from somewhere. The solution they propose, namely "The international community should endeavor-by strengthening the international
financial system, through trade, and through aid-to help the poorest countries integrate into the
world economy...". I do not think this is a creative or viable solution; it just doesn't fit the complexity and multifacetedness of the problem.
Grameen was one of the corporate entities that we read about in class. Instead of using its capital gains to feed the upper managements' pockets, they redristribute the funds back into the peoples' coffers. This is a REAL, CREATIVE solution to a poverty problem.
