Honor Morman, a Flat Classroom Certified Teacher, shares her thoughts about introducing global collaboration into the curriculum. "Here's what two of my students said about our participation in the Flat Classroom Project, a 12-week project in which we collaborated with 15 other classes in seven different countries to create a vision for the future of education and society based on emerging technologies and the characteristics of the net generation: "[I learned] how important it is to be a member of a global society-communicating globally and working together as a global community is the only way we can solve global issues and improve the lives of all of us. ExamiNation is a short documentary film about the notorious South Korean college entrance exam, Sooneung (수능). Can one exam dictate a culture and lifestyle in a country?

A reasonable article written about international schools and teaching jobs. Interesting how the number of schools has increased in the past 15 years, and how as the less well-off countries become wealthier (eg China) they want their children educated in English. Lots of opportunities for teachers in many places.

A great example of a fairly simple global project that involved 33 classes in 17 countries around the world.International Dot Day encourages creativity in people around the world on Sept 15th. Students drew a dot using an iPad app. These dots were shared via dropbox, flickr or email to Chrissy Hellier who created the project. She put this great little video together.

Looking at daily life in foreign lands reveals a colorful spectrum of inspiring metaphors for the shifts we need to make in education. Often what we may find initially chaotic, disorienting and strange in other countries can actually spark new ways of thinking about teaching and learning. Through the voices of teachers and students from around the world, we'll examine the unique aptitudes which allow successful expats to thrive in any environment. These are exactly the skills that future students and teachers will need to confidently enter the digital, global, converging, collaborative world of tomorrow - wherever they might be physically located.
