The University of Florida Digital Collections (UFDC) is a research tool that enables a user to find unique and rare digitized materials held at the University of Florida (UF) and partner institutions. With UFDC, remote and local reserarchers can learn about holdings in a physical collection and receive open access to the online full content of the resource. This is a constantly growing collection of resources. The UFDC offers at least thirty collections grouped into several major headings including: Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences; Science and Technology; Maps; Florida; and World. In addition, the UFDC links to external collections through the Publication of Archival Library Museum Materials.

The Collaboratory for Research in Computing for Humanities (RCH) was founded at the University of Kentucky in 2001. Under the directorship of Professor of Classics Ross Scaife since July 2005, the mission of RCH is to provide infrastructure, technical assistance, and grant writing assistance to university faculty who wish to undertake humanities computing projects, and to encourage and support interdisciplinary projects among individuals and groups from UK and around the world.

The Office of Digital Collections and Research (DCR) of the University of Maryland Libraries supports the teaching and research mission of the university by facilitating access to digital collections, information, and knowledge.

University of Colorado Digital Library, a collaborative project between the University of Colorado System and institutions of the Auraria Higher Education Campus, provides centralized access to locally created digital collections as well as additional resources for teaching, learning, and research. Collections include images, audio, and video files. Many of these resources are available to the general public.

The Humanities Text Initiative, a unit of the University of Michigan's Digital Library Production Service, has provided online access to full text resources since 1994. The Humanities Text Initiative (HTI) is an umbrella organization for the creation, delivery, and maintenance of electronic texts, as well as a mechanism for furthering the library community's capabilities in the area of online text. The collections on this site are freely available to the Internet community. Resources which are restricted to use by University faculty, staff, and students only can be found at the Encoded Text Services website.
