The radiation emitted by specific wavelength is emitted by the target.


    The electrons oscillate under the impact and become a new source of electromagnetic radiation. The emission is in all the directions and depends highly on the direction of the incident rays. In other directions, the destructive interference from different sources is formed. The easy method to visualize the diffraction effects is considered as Bragg law. There is an equivalent description of diffraction effects produced by 3-dimensional grating.

    X-rays can be used to determine surgical results and improving treatments. They are beneficial in verifying surgery results and can be used to reveal abnormalities in the body. X-rays can be used to detect risk of cancer and the chances of developing heart disease. According to medical experts, the radiation produced by x-rays is very dangerous and cause harm to the cells of the body. Thus, doctors should limit the scanning procedures to reduce the risk of chronic diseases. Constant exposure to x-rays may even cause harm to the heart and ruptures the blood vessels.


    Another risk associated with x-rays is that they cause birth defect in children. That is the reason why pregnant women are usually not asked to go through x-ray scanning in airports and other public places.
