Today's post, however, is about a great work that has been done by our colleague Tom Barret. He has created awesome example forms for different topics. He has also , thankfully , made all these forms availabe for us to download and use with our students. I have checked all his forms and I was really amazed by the great efforts he has put into them. You can use these forms with your students for sure but remember to keep in mind the great things you can do with Google Forms if you give it a little time. Check out this list of forms below and click on any title to access its corresponding form. The pictures you see below are only  half snapshots of each form:

Virtual field trips challenge and expose students to new types of technology. It is a great way to spark their interest and motivate their learning in a specific content area. Virtual field trips can offer students more opportunities because you can take them to places they wouldn't normally be able to go to otherwise - like inside a volcano or ocean floor! In addition, virtual field trips may even boost students' reading comprehension skills and will expose them to different cultures and environments. While virtual field trips offer a great learning opportunity, they can be hard to organize and time consuming. Take advantage of our free virtual field trips and engage your students even more!

Study Buddies is one of the features I like so much about this website. Students can search for and find other people with whom they can work, collaborate and interact online. They can add enough buddies to create a study group. There is also the possibility that students create a class or enroll into one to study a topic at their own pace. Some features of QuizMeOnline Here is a set of the features that QuizMeOnline offers to its users: It is free It is easy to use It has a user friendly interface It helps students study for a quiz Teachers can use it to create their own quizzes It also lets users create and share flashcards It also allows students to take notes and create study groups It provides study guides for students to learn about a certain process. These study groups can include images, links and YouTube videos.

Grockit is very easy to use and has a user friendly interface. It lets its users search for a YouTube video and once found, they can then both watch the video and use the right side panel to write their questions or comments. They can then share this page using a generated URL with their students or colleagues.

Yacapaca is a great web tool for educators. It allows teachers to have access to a plethora of already made quizes. They can also make their own using the provided tools there. I have just discovered this awesome website today and I think it is really worth reviewing here in Educational Technology and Mobile Learning. Yacapaca is absolutely free and does not require any software download or installation. You just need to register with them using your email address. As you head over to Yacapaca main page you will find two big buttons one says ' I am a teacher' and the other ' I am a student'. for students to log in they need an access key from their teachers. Once logged in you can choose your country ( it does not support all countries ) and a list of categories will be displayed. For instance for Canada , I have Maths ( 95 quizes and courses ), History ( 74 ), Geography ( 67), Design and Technology (87)...etc. Some features of Yacapaca Here is a list of the main features that Yacapaca offers to its users: It is free It is easy to use It is fast and secure It provides quizes and surveys It lets you discover, modify and share assessements It lets you mark automatically It allows you to analyse using tools that will help you improve your teaching

This looks like a great site for ed vids for all subjects, it also contains more than vids, pics ideas,display, news, books and apps

I've been reading lately about the novelty effect for increased attention spans in education. I believe "iFake Text" is a great example of  a simple tool that can allow your students to show what they know in a unique or novel way by emulating a text message conversation on an iPhone.

this is a volunteer project sparked by a group of employees who wanted to find a better way to collect and highlight all the great educational content being uploaded to YouTube by colleges and universities.
