Bush's "signature" legislation, passed with the best of intentions, has since been weakened, perhaps fatally, by the Obama administration. Good. We've written before about how NCLB essentially federalized education, making schools (and states) answerable to Washington, instead of keeping the power and accountability closer to home, where it belongs.
