With Head scoring 137 from 120 balls, Australia defeated India by six wickets. India was bowled out for 240 in the final, and Australia won thanks to Head's 192-run stand with Marnus Labuschagne (58 not out). Head took a catch to eliminate Rohit Sharma and was named Player of the Match. Head has a talent for doing well in pivotal games. He made a century against India in the World Test Championship final earlier in June 2023. In a similar vein, Head scored an undefeated 154 against England on September 19, 2024. India will meet England in the third One-Day International at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
