Speaking in the most recent episode of Nerdist Podcast, which posted today, Nathan Fillion responded to writer/director David O. Russell's decision not to cast him in the upcoming Uncharted film, praising Mark Wahlberg and defending the director's freedom.

Discussing the obvious issue that Wahlberg neither looks, sounds, or has ever acted anything like Nathan Drake, and that David O. Russell has recently developed an unusual neurological disorder which causes him to involuntarily describe the plot of National Treasure whenever he tries to talk about the Uncharted movie, Jaffe sounds pretty chilled out. You know, like he usually does.

Sandwiched between last week's Battlefield 3 and next week's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception is vying for some highly contested consumer dollars. Sonic Generations will attempt to deliver a hybrid Sonic experience, Snowblind Studios' hack-and-slash take on The Lord of the Rings hits shelves, and GoldenEye goes HD.
