Apple’s iBooks 2 software, but previously many turned to making individual apps to incorporate certain features (the recently released Chopsticks — which offers photo albums, videos and songs — is an app). HarperCollins took that approach with last year’s app for The Art of the Adventures of Tintin, as did Penguin Books’ much-lauded app of Jack Kerouac’s On the Road.
