3D Concrete Printing Could Be the Future of the Construction Industry - 0 views

  •
3D concrete printing is an advanced and innovative method used to construct building components with the help of 3D printers. It is a form of additive manufacturing that is used to construct buildings or components in entirely new shapes not previously possible with traditional concrete formwork. It allows the construction of 3D printed structures such as bridges and houses. 3D printing allows construction time optimization, construction with flexibility, error, cost, and environmental factors reduction. 3D printed concrete is a special type of high-performance concrete that can be released layer-by-layer through a 3D printer with no framework or any vibrations. Moreover, 3D concrete printing paves the way for infinitely rich decor with new shapes and elements and reduces waste, compared to traditional concrete formwork, in which new constructions are more expensive. 3D concrete printing technology provides immense speed to ease construction structures with high-performance concrete. However, a lack of awareness about this technique and the high initial cost associated with this technology can become a hindrance to this technology. The United States Armed Forces has 3D printed a barracks, in around two days, out of high-performance concrete at army base. Moreover, Singapore is exploring several tech initiatives to improve safety standards and building efficiency in Singapore's construction industry. Singapore's houses might be fully 3D printed in the future. Furthermore, an Italian architect has also designed an incredible 3D-printed igloo-shaped house in Italy, for a 3D printed houses project. Touch Bionics - i-LIMB hand - 1 views

  • Some patients, mainly military personnel, particularly love the robotic nature of the uncovered i-LIMB Hand and prefer not to wear it with a cosmesis glove. However, because of the need to provide a grip surface and to protect the hand from dust and water, Touch Bionics has developed the i-LIMB Skin. This is a thin layer of semi-transparent material that has been computer-modeled to accurately wrap to every contour of the hand.

electromechanical boom barrier - 2 views

  •
Manual release device to operate the barrier when power failure. Barrier motor with die-casting aluminum alloy is high-hermetic and easy for heat dissipation. Motor cooling fan to avoid the over-heating possibility. This automatic parking gate can automatic reversing when the barrier boom meets the obstruction. Auto closing realization through menu setting on the control panel. The arm barrier works well with infrared photocells, loop detectors, card readers, ticket dispensers, manual switch (wire control), and traffic light.
