Technology has played a major role in the way this generations works. Major efficiencies in communication, workflow and processing have reduced the need for "hard work," leaving the daily grind for the robots and freeing up Millennials to focus on tasks we're not yet able to automate, like writing the next hit song, being the star of the new reality show, starting up an innovative company, launching political debates on YouTube and announcing what you had for lunch on Twitter.

And what about employers? What do they want? According to national surveys, they want to hire 22-year-olds who can write coherently, think creatively and analyze quantitative data, and they're perfectly happy to hire English or biology majors.
