When many of us think of investments, we think of stocks and bonds, and other "traditional" investments. However, few of us think of paying down debt as an investment in future financial success. This is a mistake. One of the best things you can do for yourself is to pay down debt -- especially high interest credit card debt -- as soon as possible.

These vegetables were chosen based on our own experience. To make the list the vegetable had to (1) be easy to grow; (2) have the ability to grow in the ground or in pots for outdoor or indoor gardening; (3) produce a high yield compared to the initial investment, therefore making it a good way to save money.

Tomatoes would top my list, fresh in a salad = tasty!
