Kagiso Rabada, Karim Janat, Sherfane Rutherford, and Rashid Khan, their other foreign players, had remained in India with the rest of the team. However, Rutherford was selected for the West Indies ODI team for the May 29-June 3 series in England, which will conflict with the 2025 IPL playoffs. Buttler may miss the playoffs since he was included in England's white-ball teams. Following the team release on Tuesday, an ECB spokeswoman stated, "We're keen to support the IPL and the BCCI in getting the schedule up and running, and to facilitate players' return should they choose to go back." With three games remaining in the league phase, GT leads the points table with 16 points, ahead of Royal Challengers Bengaluru on net run rate. When the ceasefire between the two nations was declared on May 10, they became the first team to start practicing again, opening the door for the IPL to begin. Their league round concludes with two home games in Ahmedabad, against the Chennai Super Kings on May 25 and the Lucknow Super Giants on May 22. Their next game is against the Delhi Capitals at Delhi on May 18. The IPL released the updated schedule for the rest of the season on Monday. In addition to the four playoff games, there are still 13 regular games left. Six locations Delhi, Jaipur, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, and Bengaluru will host the remaining league games; the playoff locations have not yet been revealed. Qualifier 1 will take place on May 29, the Eliminator on May 30, Qualifier 2 on June 1, and the final on June 3.
