Football | NFL: T. O. Junior? - 3 views

  •
I hear Roy Williams still believes he is the lead dog of the receiving pack in Dallas and cannot understand why his numbers are not that of a top flight receiver in the league. He claims that everyone else on the team is getting better thrown passes than he is and that is why he has caught only 14 of the 37 balls thrown his way.

Week Nine of the NFL season is upon us and that means it is time to start breaking down the fantasy match ups for this weekend. The marquees showdowns this week feature Dallas traveling to Philly for the Sunday night game and the Broncos host the Steelers on Monday night. The Texans also travel to Indianapolis looking to game respect around the league but it will be tough road to hoe after losing Pro Bowl tight end Owen Daniels to a knee injury this past weekend.

Football | NFL: AFC Contenders and Pretenders - 0 views

  •
As we get to the midpoint of the NFL season the contenders start to separate themselves from the pretenders. Heading into week nine the Indianapolis Colts remain as the lone unbeaten team in the AFC with the Broncos holding tight with just one loss. The Bengals and Steelers sit atop the AFC North at 5-2 with the Bengals holding the head-to-head tie-breaker beating the Steelers a few weeks ago. The Patriots sit comfortably atop the AFC East and as long as Belichick and Brady are around they should never be taken lightly. So, the question remains who are the contenders and who are the pretenders in the AFC right now.

As we get to the midpoint of the NFL season the contenders start to separate themselves from the pretenders. Heading into this week's Monday night game the Saints remain as the lone unbeaten team in the NFC with the Vikings nipping at their heels with just one loss. The Eagles and Cowboys sit atop the NFC East at 5-2 with the Eagles holding the tie-breaker due to Dallas losing to the Giants earlier in the season. So, the question remains who are the contenders and who are the pretenders in the NFC right now.

Football | NFL: Why is Derek Anderson Starting? Did Brady Quinn Ever Stand a Chance? - 0 views

  •
Ever since Eric Mangini took over in Cleveland the quarterback situation there has been curious, and tenuous at best. When he first got the job everyone expected Mangini to tab Brady Quinn as his starting quarterback heading into off season camps and training camp. He refused to do so, in fact, he refused to name a starting quarterback at all.

Football | NFL: Is Anyone Hotter Than Josh McDaniels Right Now? - 0 views

  •
Is there any coach or player who is on a hotter roll than Denver Head Coach Josh McDaniels right now? At the age of 33 he is the youngest head man in the league and the Broncos are arguably the team to beat in the AFC right now. Denver closed out the 2008 season losing its last three games failing to make the playoffs for the third consecutive season under Mike Shanahan. This team was floundering in mediocrity.
