Creativity is the act of thinking. Whether you are deliberately engaged in thought for the purpose of making novel connections or in a state of incubation where the creative process is happening somewhere in the deep unconscious it is thinking that you are doing. Making thinking visible is a must read and have for all schools who are wanting to promote thinking. The thinking routines outlined in this book are easily implemented and have robust research from Harvard Graduate School Of Education that demonstrate their effectiveness.
Lots of good Internet based games: e.g Algebra puzzles which could be used to form the basis for a lesson or also could be used as an intro warm up or early finishers activity. Most activities would suit upper primary, however some extension students would benefit from playing the games.
Has a good selection of logic games e.g. factory balls and popular games, such as battleships.
Has a good selection of instructional maths videos, which look very useful.
The Maths Arcade section of this website has some really fun games for students from P-6. They can choose their level and select a game to practice their maths skills independent.
A good resource for all ages, contains examples/working out and also questions and problems for students to solve. Has a wide variety of topics and activities.
